Cartier celebrates their 100th anniversary
Paris Hilton to launch children clothing line: Paris Hilton will be adding "Children's Clothing Designer" to her long list of business ventures.
Hilton already has her own lines of perfumes, jewelry, shoes, pet clothes and women's wear, but she'll soon be adding kids clothes to the list.
She wrote on her Twitter page: "Just got home from a long day. About to start drawing the character for my new children's clothing line."
Paris' former BFF Nicole Richie has also expressed her desire to launch a kids clothing line, but as a mom, and a style icon, we have a feeling she'll have better luck with it.

Cartier celebrates their 100th anniversary
Diamonds are a girl's Best friend: Can we say A-list? Last night Cartier celebrated their 100th Anniversary and we must say they have never looked better.
Anne Hathaway, Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel, Eva Mendes, Demi Moore, Kate Hudson and Elton John were on hand to help blow out some of Cartier's candles.
Although Kate Hudson looked amazing in a barely there ensemble, it was her jewelry that definitely caught the eye. Kate was dripping in over $1million dollars worth of diamonds at last night's event. What recession??
Anne Hathaway stayed modest as she was rocking over $500,000 worth of Cartier jewels.
Not to be left out, Justin Timberlake also decided to accessorize with some serious bling. He accessorized with a diamond panther tie pin and some serious diamond cufflinks.
Besides looking good, all of this excess and luxury was also for a good cause. The birthday bash was benefiting Service Nation, an organization that encourages volunteering. Happy Birthday Cartier!

Summer fashions
If the thought of lots of bare skin this summer makes you want to hide under a baggy cardigan, take a fresh look at how to make fashion work for you right now.
- Flirty Skirts
Don't be intimidated by skirts: the best skirts are cute AND forgiving (not something that happens in fashion very often, so jump on this!) Try a flared, knee-length silhouette. It can be in any fabric with a soft hand (most denim doesn't qualify) like washed linen, rayon or cotton. Gentle tiers, or a fuller A-line silhouette that gently comes out from the hip looks great on most women.Solids and prints are both great in a summer skirt. Pair with a fitted T or other soft top (washed linen, woven cotton, etc.) Wedge heels are fine for dressier looks, but flat sandals are easy for casual wear.
In finding your perfect skirt length, remember that fashion wisdom says a skirt should never be wider than it is long. Asymmetrical or hankie hems are a great camouflage treatment for bottom-heavy figures; pleats and flounces will you give you curves below the waist if you lack them.
- Florals
If you've passed on head-to-toe blooms because you think only girly types can carry them off, take a look at some of the newer florals. From watercolor to mod prints, these florals are anything but old fashioned. One easy way to try the trend is to pick up a floral print handbag.Keep prints in proportion to your shape: larger frames look best in bigger blooms; petite frames can carry off allover, ditsy (tiny) prints. Either way, prints that have the bloom closer together (less blank space in between) will make your frame look smaller, while wide-spaced flowers will make you look larger.
- Tank Tops
Many women keep bare arms under wraps all season just because they think tank tops are too skimpy. One way to get rid of the skimpies is to layer tank tops. Just pick two complementary colors and layer away. Lightweight cotton jersey is ideal for layering (skip the ribbed styles for this because even tiny ribbing adds bulk). Some tanks can go braless because they have a built-in bra; many manufacturers make camis with built-ins as well.
Pass on the urge to let your bra straps hang out (tacky, even if it slips in and out of style) and turn to retailers like Land's End which always carries a tank with modest enough straps to sport a bra, too.
- 2-Piece Swimsuit
Think a 2-piece swimsuit can only be a bikini? Nope, and actually some of the modern 2-piece swimsuits are actually more flattering than 1-piece swimwear. The new 2-pieces owe their flattery to a longer top and bottoms with lots of coverage. To cover a tummy bulge, opt for a 2-piece that has a long, loose top like the one pictured. To smooth out lower body flaws, choose a 2-piece with a short skirt attached. If you're skeptical about the coverage of a longer 2-piece, you can even find a mock 2-piece which has a fabric lining underneath. It gives you the smooth lines, but more security.
- Shorts
If dimples, veins or pasty legs keeping you from airing out your gams in the heat, opt for a compromise. There is a short for every woman, you just have to find your perfect look. One of the most wearable lengths is a walking short that is a couple of inches above the knee.Depending on your body type, you can tweak the length of shorts to flatter your figure.

Trendy wears for women
Trendy Wears
Skirts have returned back to the fashion scene in kerala after a lapse of few years. These come with different styles, prints and is made of exclusively high priced fabrics. For those who have long legs go in for mini skirts and the full length wrap around skirts. Those who are on the bulkier side can opt for long flowing skirts with floral prints which are trendy and in-vogue.
The kerala fashion scene is witnessing a renewed interest in ethnic skirts with handwork - beadwork, embroideries, tie-and-dye, sequins, etc. The products used in these are georgettes, cottons, etc, all of which is easily available and that which fit perfectly with ones body shape.
Leather Wears
Leather wears are also becoming more and more popular with the high fashion young women of kerala these days. The popular ones being the slim line skirts and cropped jacket that have multiple zips and buttons . Besides the pencil skirt the multi pannelled skirt fitted at the hips, is the look of the day. The oversized poncho or cape coat that comes with a soft rolled collar is also becoming popular now.
Branded Wears Compared to the vast array of designer clothes available for men the selection of designer clothes for women is rather limited. Mo
st shops prefer to stock these forms in smaller quantitities. To tide over this selection scarcity, the women prefer to go in for designer labels that are available in plenty. Presently a variety of sarees come with more embroidery works that were hither to not to be seen around. To coincide with the changing trends in saree additions, the present day crop of designer blouses also feature additional works that add to the beauty and image of the blouse. Though the price tag tends to be on the higher side designer dresses among salwar kameez, gagras also exhibit a general acceptance.

Fashions for men in Kerala
Branded Wears
In the modern day world men prefer a wider range of party wear that includes the regular designer jeans, crushed and printed tops, bow necks and slim fits. Even bright colored clothes are in. Since party clothes aren't to be worn more than a couple of times, the youngsters seem to prefer the alternate designer clothing despite it’s higher price tag.. It is all about looking good in a combination of good looking clothes. Still those who go for quality will definitely opt for the branded ones. It‘s all a matter of being different; but there is nothing different about the same old tags and names.

fashions for men in Kerala
Leather Wears
Though the leather wears are popular with the fashion minded and are worn occasionally, as a rule in kerala with a hot climate, this form of wear is seldom selected. These high fashioned wears are ornamented now with sequins or appliqués. The intricate and soft finish of this product gives the appearance of a fine piece of fabric. The great benefit of the leather wears is that they now come in various colors including black, white, red, green, maroon, rust, chocolate, tan and deep purple.

Fashions for men in Kerala
Trendy Wears
A trend is driven by demographics, lifestyle, technology - it movesforward steadily and relentlessly. Trendy phenomenon or fads - often seem to spring up overnight, burn intensely and then die out just as rapidly. "Trendy" looks good but generally does not fit into the pattern of people's lives.
Flowery pink shirts do not fit into the pattern of men's lives and hence, need to be classified as 'trendy. Checks and pinstripes are bowing out to colors, frill and funk. Men's wardrobes are resembling women's, with embroidered collars, patchwork pieces and retro prints."
Teenage boys and girls in kerala are taking to trendy fashions on a large scale. This is clearly visible in some of the top notch colleges in kerala especially in major cities like Ernakulam and Trivandrum.
